The Center That Holds - Peace Amidst Ferocious Change: A 5-Day Silent Retreat with Jogen Salzberg

The Center That Holds - Peace Amidst Ferocious Change

We live in a time of ferocious change - climate crisis, AI, evolving and devolving political and social institutions as well as the endless transformations that go on in our inner worlds and relationships.

Who doesn’t feel tried and tested right now? How will we respond?

Option one: we indiscriminately imbibe the info-toxicity, join with the neurotic pace and divisiveness of consensus culture, allowing fixed views about people, politics and planet to train us into rigidity and reactivity and fear.

Option two: we practice a path of sanity.

This retreat will be a time of restorative calm, a tapping into an awareness spacious and free of anxiety, seeing and connecting heart to heart with others in compassionate concern for our world, and an opening to different perspectives. Jogen will guide and teach meditations on calm, grounded, spacious awareness. He will offer talks on how Dharma practice empowers us to meet these times and facilitate group exercises in multi-perspectival contemplation on the issues that matter.
